Byron man arrested for assault

A Byron man was arrested on August 19 at 6 p.m. after deputies responded to an assault call in the 8th Street NE neighborhood.
Through the investigation, it was determined that Lee Stellmaker, 51, of Byron, had used a kitchen knife to cut an acquaintance in her right bicep area. It was a 2-½ inch laceration.
Stellmaker was arrested for second degree assault and transported to the Adult Detention Center. He was arraigned Monday morning, said Olmsted County Sheriff Captain Tim Parkin.
