Musical murder mystery comes to Mantorville

Mantorville’s first ever Halloween musical melodrama, Not Another Zombie Apocalypse, is about to go off the rails with hilarious - and potentially deadly – results, courtesy of the Mantorville Theatre Company.
The original All Hallows’ Feast Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre returns to the stage after 12 years with a few new surprises in store.
This year’s event opens appropriately on Friday, October 13, and continues on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through October 29.
In addition to the performance, enjoy dinner provided by Powers Ventures (Hubbell House). The menu includes Chicken Marsala or a vegetarian selection, accompanied by bread, salad, potatoes and the popular Bunny’s coconut cake. Beer and wine will also be available for purchase.
Not Another Zombie Apocalypse was written by Michael Migliacio and Jeremy Kittleson.
Show times are Friday and Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday at 12:30 p.m. Doors open 30 minutes before the show starts.
All seats are reserved and tickets are $45 and can be reserved online. Seats must be pre-purchased at least 48 hours before curtain time for Friday and Saturday performances and 72 hours prior to curtain time on Sunday.
The show is rated PG13 and has some innuendo that may not be appropriate for young eyes and ears.
Auditions will also be held at 7 p.m. on October 22 and 23 for the company’s next production, A Hunting Shack Christmas by Jessica Lind Peterson. Performances for this production are scheduled for December 1-17.
The Mantorville Theatre Company is a non-profit community theatre that produces six shows a year. While known for its summer melodramas, the company also produces three full-length comedies, dramas and musicals throughout the year.
Performances are held in the Historic Opera House owned by the Mantorville Restoration Association at 5 5th Street, Mantorville.
