K-M hosts 7th annual Business Appreciation Breakfast

The Kasson-Mantorville High School commons was filled on Tuesday morning with representatives and owners of businesses throughout Kasson and the surrounding area.
With only a golden spring sunrise to drive through – no snow, sleet, or anything else cold or wet – attendees enjoyed a breakfast of egg bake, muffins, fruit, coffee, milk, and juice.
Students throughout the district worked on posters so there was one for each business hanging in the commons and kitchen area.
K-M Superintendent Mark Matuska thanked those present for their contributions to district education and extracurricular programs.
Business contributions over the past five years have totaled over $500,000, Matuska noted, with last year being the high water mark with over $180,000.
He passed along the microphone and attendees introduced themselves and the business they represented.
The K-M High School music department performed for the attendees, a group of choir members being accompanied by a contingent of band members.
