K-M girl’s soccer set to host annual Epilepsy awareness and fundraiser event Sept. 28

The Kasson-Mantorville girl’s soccer program began its Epilepsy awareness and fundraiser event, with the goal of honoring Hannah Soderberg, the daughter of former coach Chris Soderberg.
She has lived with Epilepsy since she was five.
“Although Coach Soderberg officially “retired” from coaching after 22 years at the end of the 2021 season, this event remains an important part of the K-M Soccer Programs’ efforts to not only develop young athletes but also to develop overall character and value in taking an active role in one’s community,” event organizers said, in a prepared script for the event, provided to the DCI.
This year the annual event will be taking place on Saturday, Sept. 28, beginning at 10 a.m. for junior high and jv games, and will end with the boy varsity soccer team taking on John Marshall.
Events will include a silent auction, concessions, a Just for Kix performance, and a free will donation.
