K-M girls basketball goes 2-0 in holiday tournament play

The Kasson-Mantorville girls basketball team went 2-0 in holiday tournament play last week.
In its first matchup at the Lewiston Auto Holiday Classic K-M defeated Winona 70-26.
Keigan Cummings had 21 points, seven assists, and five steals, Makenzie Carrier had 15 points, Ava Pitzenberger had two points, Lauren Schaefer had four points, five rebounds, and two steals, and Ella Stoskopf had 21 points, and 14 rebounds.
In its matchup against John Marshall K-M won 65-57.
For K-M Cummings had 26 points, seven rebounds, six seals, and five assists, Carrier had 23 points, three rebounds, and two steals, Pitzenberger had three points, Schuyler Sullivan had four points, and Stoskopf had nine points, and seven rebounds.
Head Coach Ryan Haraldson explained the tournament “isn’t set up as a bracketed style tournament,” and instead there is four days of basketball for boys and girls teams with predetermined match-ups.
