K-M boys basketball splits the weekend
HERMANTOWN — The Kasson-Mantorville boys basketball team got their new season underway with a weekend tournament. On Friday, December 1, the boys played in the Hermantown High School Tip-Off Tournament. The KoMets lost to Duluth Denfeld, 75-62, but they bounced back to defeat the host team, 71-65.

Hayfield basketball boys open the season in style
The Vikings posted a pair of wins to start the new basketball campaign. On Thursday, November 30, they topped Rochester STEM Academy, 71-36. Friday, December 1, Hayfield outlast LeRoy-Ostrander, 45-43.
STEM Game: Dawson Meier and Gentrell Johnson both a double-double, as Hayfield defeated Rochester Stem Academy, 71-36, in non-conference play in the season opener for both teams. It was the very first game for Rochester Stem Academy. Meier had 18 points and 12 rebounds and Johnson had 16 points and 11 rebounds. Ilyas Hassan had 14 points for Stem Academy and Ali Mohamed added 10.
