Just pick it up

For the past few years, the Kasson Park Board and other community groups and members have helped beautify the community during the springtime.
That tradition will continue again this year as the JUST PICK IT UP litter campaign will be taking place on May 11.
The goal of the campaign is for community members to help pick up litter in town as a group.
Janet Sinning, a member of the park board who helped get the program started, said that other towns do similar things and she thought it would be great to bring to Kasson.
“I thought it would be a great community event. Other towns are doing it and we need to keep our town looking like we care,” Sinning said.
In past years, the Lions Club and K-M FCCLA have been active in helping out but the goal of the park board is that more people in the community will help out this year.
“All residents, adults and children are encouraged to come and help our town. We should be proud to live in Kasson,” Sinning said.
