Hayfield volleyball drops homecoming game in fifth set

The Hayfield volleyball team struggled last week, losing twice.
In its matchup against Kenyon-Wanamingo, Head Coach Samantha Thurman said her team “started off strong,” and “went point for point.”
“We had a few too many unforced errors that ultimately made the difference tonight,” Thurman said after the game.
Breanna Subbert had five kills, Alexys Swygman had a  kill,  Kenna Rutledge had a kill, and three  assists, Jenna Christopherson had three  kills, Amber Ziegler had a kill, and  Nora Bamlet had eight  assists.
In its homecoming game, Hayfield won its first two sets, before Goodhue came back to win the final three.
Subbert  had 12 kills, Swygman had five, Rutledge finished the game with 10 assists, and  13 digs, while Winfield had  33 digs in the game.
Christopherson had 13 kills, and 12 digs,  Ziegler had three  kills, Kenna Selk had 14 digs, and Bamlet had 14 assists, and 13 digs.
