Community Celebration Church works to guarantee clean water for all

In their fifth year of working to make sure more people in the world have access to clean water, Community Celebration Church recently reached $44,000 raised to install wells in other countries.
This year, Community Celebration Church’s congregation raised more than $6,000 to install wells in developing countries. To date, the congregation has helped thousands of people gain access to clean and safe water, a necessity that many who have always had access may take for granted. 
Amy Anderson, Community Celebration Church pastor and bookkeeper, talked about the importance of every person in the world having access to clean water. 
“They have cattle, horses, whatever it is, and they’re depositing things along the river and they’re so dark,” Anderson said. “They’re taking it out of there and drinking it and getting sicker and sicker. So if we’re able to put clean water into these places, it’s just wonderful because of the fact that they’re drinking dirt.”
This year, the congregation helped 941 people gain access to clean water by working with a charity called Water
