CLOSED
It was the end of a journey for one main street business in Kasson on Sunday, as long time business Jimmy’s Pizza closed its doors for business permanently.
After working at Toros in Windom for 27 years, owner Clark Faux, was looking to open his own business a year and a half ago and thought that Jimmy’s would be a perfect business for him.
Unfortunately, like many small businesses, Faux had the reality of going against bigger chains like Dominos in Kasson, and Casey’s in Mantorville. He also mentioned the arrival of Casey’s in Kasson coming soon as a new competitor coming to town.
Faux explained, that they didn’t have enough business to compete, and he didn’t have enough resources to make necessary upgrades and improvements to the business.
With going up against bigger competitors with limited resources, and working seven days a week, Faux decided it was best to close.
Although, the business will no longer be in town, Faux said that he certainly enjoyed his time there and is going to miss it.
“I enjoyed it here for sure. I’m going to miss it here,” Faux said.
Faux said with the business now closed, he is going to try to sell the building, which is located at 33 W Main Street in Kasson.
