Byron soccer coach resigns

The Byron boys soccer team will have a new head coach next year, after Dave Bahr resigned from his post, Bahr confirmed in an email to the DCI.
“I have decided to step down as the Byron Head Coach effective last Wednesday,” Bahr wrote in an email.
Bahr finished his seventh year this year, as the head coach with Byron, and has been coaching for 27 years in total at the high school level.
“ The players, parents and athletic department at Byron (were) really great,” Bahr wrote.
Bahr also announced Byron players who earned all conference honors which included
Jaxon Boynton, Ben Zimmerman, and Brayden Olson.
“Byron was also awarded the MSHSSCA Silver Academic Award for team GPA 3.25 and above,” Bahr wrote. “Byron was also awarded the United Soccer Coaches Association National Academic Award.”
