Byron boys soccer defeats South St. Paul

The Byron boys soccer team hosted South St. Paul last week in what Head Coach Dave Bahr called “a tight game.”
Byron would take the lead early with a goal by Jaxon Boynton 13 minutes into the game.
But seven minutes later South St. Paul scored to tie the game.
Before the end of the half Byron’s Teigen Henderson scored to take the 2-1 lead, which would be enough in the 4-1 win.
In the second half Boynton scored again twice early in the second half.
put the game out of reach with goals at 6 minutes in and 13 minutes to get the 4-1 lead. Assists were given to Caden Anderson and Ryan Hartman.
Byron goalkeeper Nate Cadwell had five saves in the game.
Byron’s matchup against Winona last Thursday was canceled due to lighting and won’t be made up.
