BREAKING NEWS: Monday evening crash injures 3, 1 with life threatening injuries
Three people were injured, one with life-threatening injuries, in a two-vehicle head-on crash Monday night in Canisteo Township.
At approximately 5:25 p.m. the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a head-on crash on 250th Ave (County Road 13) at approximately 685th Street in Canisteo Township involving two vehicles, according to Sheriff Scott Rose.
When deputies arrived, they found one victim lying on the ground, one sitting near the truck, and an unconscious victim in the sedan, Rose said.
Officers determined a southbound pickup driven by 80-year-old Ardean Bjornson of rural Hayfield collided on the southbound shoulder of 250th Avenue with a northbound sedan driven by 18-year-old Tyler Maas-Schlie of Owatonna.
Ardean Bjornson and his passenger, Kevin Bjornson, were transported by Hayfield Ambulance to Saint Marys Hospital. Maas-Schlie had to be extricated from the vehicle, Rose said, and was airlifted by North Memorial Air Care to Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.
