BREAKING NEWS: Dodge County man killed in motor vehicle crash

A Dodge County man has died in a two-vehicle crash in Goodhue County.
The State Patrol has identified the victim as Roger Ray Herrick, 64, of West Concord. He was driving a 2004 Chevy Silverado that collided with a 2008 Ford F150 driven by Trent Wayne Hinkel, 46, of Lancaster, Calif.
A 47-year-old passenger in Hinkel’s vehicle received non-life threatening injuries. 
The crash happened on Highway 58 at County Road 9 in Goodhue Tuesday around 9:47 a.m. The roads were reportedly wet at the time.
According to the patrol, Hinkel’s vehicle was southbound on Highway 58 while Herrick’s truck was northbound taking a left turn to go westbound on County Road 9. The vehicles collided in the intersection.
Both air bags were deployed. The patrol said Herrick was not wearing his seat belt. No alcohol is believed to have been involved.
Assisting the State Patrol were Goodhue First Responders, Zumbrota Ambulance, Goodhue Police and Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office.
