BREAKING NEWS: DC MAN RESCUED FROM GRAIN BIN

A Dodge Center man was taken to Mayo Clinic this morning after being down inside a grain bin.
The man was cleaning out his grain bin and he slipped and fell under a sweeping auger.
When his son went out to check on him, he saw the motor was running and not the auger. He immediately shut it off and called 911.Dodge Center firefighters and Dodge County deputies set up a perimeter around the victim so the corn wouldn’t continue to pile on him. The first responders were able to get him out within 20 minutes.
The man has lacerations on both of his feet, with a possibility of needing surgery on one ankle.
The victim was conscious when being transported.
Mayo one was on scene but only as a precaution.
