Annual Care and Share event fast approaching
As November arrives it is time to start thinking about the annual Kasson-Mantorville Care and Share event on Nov. 19
Care and Share is an annual event of the K-M Area Care and Share group, a non-profit organization set up to support families and individuals in need within the Kasson and Mantorville area. The group provides people with food, gifts and cash donations during the Christmas season. They also help families going through hardships throughout the year.
The event includes dinner, a silent auction and a live auction.
This year’s event will be at the Kasson-Mantorville High School on Tuesday, Nov. 19. Activities get under way with dinner served from 5 to 7 p.m. The meal will include smoked pork loin at $8. There will also be a kid’s meal of chicken tenders for $5. Dessert will be provided by Daniel’s Restaurant.
Donations are now being accepted for both the silent and live auctions. They can be dropped off before Nov. 18 at Community Education at the Kasson-Mantorville High School or the Kasson Liquor Store.
Cash donations can be dropped off or mailed to Home Federal Bank, attention Matt Bradford, 502 Mantorville Ave. S. in Kasson.
The final opportunity to drop off donated items is from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 18, at the Kasson-Mantorville High School north doors.
For questions about donations or to have a donation picked-up contact the K-M Community Education Office at 507-634-4464 or email kmcareandshare@gmail.com.
All the money raised by the auction is used to help people year-round during times of need in the areas where they need it most including groceries, clothing, electricity bills and fuel.
