Fire damages Johnson Hardware in Dodge Center

A Wednesday night fire at Johnson Hardware in Dodge Center caused extensive damage to the building.
Dodge Center Fire Department was called to the location about 7 p.m. for reports of smoke coming from the building, Fire Chief Jeremy Dostal said.

Claremont firefighters rescue man trapped in grain bin

A man trapped up to his waist inside a grain bin Wednesday morning was safely rescued with no serious injuries.
The call came in about 10:40 a.m., reporting an employee with CHS agricultural cooperative was trapped inside a 250,000 bushel bin in Claremont.
