Reaching the 1%

This past weekend, he lived that personal moniker to the fullest by finishing his high school career in a match that most athletes can only dream of reaching: the state finals.

K-M boys basketball hosts senior night

Special coverage for a special season

My wife and I went to her cousin’s wedding in Green Bay this past weekend, and the first thing my brother-in-law asked me when he saw me was; how was the state wrestling tournament?
Last Thursday I had the chance to spend the day at the Xcel Energy Center to cover the Kasson-Mantorville wrestling team at the team state tournament.

Class for caregivers planned at Prairie Meadows

Elder Network and Prairie Meadows in Kasson are partnering on a class for caregivers held at Prairie Meadows on Tuesdays, 6 — 7:30 p.m., March 11 — April 15. The class will help caregivers make tough caregiving decisions, communicate more effectively, reduce stress, and other tools in caring for older friends and relatives. The cost is $60, and registration is required by March 4. For more information call 507-285-5272.

K-M wins senior night game

The Kasson-Mantorville girls basketball team won its final game of the season against Simley 65-20 to finish the regular season with a 16-10 record.

Wildcats season ends with shut out

The Dodge County boys hockey season has come to an end after being shut out by Alber Lea in the first round of the playoffs 6-0.
Behind the net goalie Wes Wagner stopped 26 out of 32 shots for the Wildcats.
 

Wildcats named to All Tournament Team

Five Dodge County Wildcats were named to the 2025 Class 1A girls hockey state tournament All State Team. It included; Alexa Van Straaten, Kylie Meyer, Nora Carstensen, Zoe Heimer, and Ida Huber.
