KoMets dominate KM Invite

The Kasson-Mantorville cross country team held an invitational last week, with four KoMets crossing the finish line first. 
David Obst won the race with a time of 16:30.8, Reed Grovdahl finished second with a time of 17:54.4, Kalin Anderson finished third with a time of 17:56.7, Michael Brandl finished fourth with a time of 17:56.9. 

Hayfield defeats BP

The Hayfield volleyball team defeated Blooming Prairie last week, pulling off a narrow 3-2 win. 
Jenna Christopherson had eight  kills, and 18 digs. Amber Ziegler had 10 kills, eight digs, five  blocks, and  aces. Carly Bronson had 11 kills, and three  digs. 

Five former athletes elected to 2025 Kasson-Mantorville HOF class

Membership in the Kasson-Mantorville Hall of Fame will expand on Saturday, Oct. 11, when five newly-elected members are inducted. 
The five athletes, representing multiple sports, include: 
Brady Berge - Class of 2017 - participated in football and wrestling, went on to wrestle at Penn State and is now Coaching at South Dakota State University

I’ve been trying new things as of late, so last week’s adventure found us at the St. Paul Saints game. 
This is often our go-to date night, because, well, baseball is the best. 
But we happened to stumble upon a sip and paint night and decided to give it a shot.  

Byron rolls past Hill-Murray

The Byron football team cruised past Hill-Murray 42-6 in a road game last week.
Byron was dominant from the first whistle, scoring 21 points in the first quarter. 
They added another seven points in the second quarter and scored two touchdowns in the third quarter. 
Carson Heimer had 22 rushes for 288 yards  scoring two touchdowns.
Brevin Brakke had one rush for a one-yard touchdown. 

Byron defeats St. Charles, Austin

The Byron girls soccer team defeated St. Charles 4-0 Monday night in a game shortened due to lighting. 
For Byron, Carly Halder had two  goals and an assist, Raegan Kelm had a goal, and Madison Ohm added an assist.
Payton Erwin, Elena Arteaga, and Leah Ellavsky each had an assist in the game.
Byron also defeated Austin last week 8-0. 

Cobras defeat Caledonia

The Triton football team defeated Caledonia 13-3 last week in a road matchup. 
After giving up a field goal early in the game, the Cobras bounced back with a three yard rushing touchdown by Graden Thomas. 
After a scoreless second quarter, Pierce Petersohn, who has been week-to-week with a strained shoulder, scored on a 19-yard rushing touchdown.
