KoMets fall short to top ranked Simley

The No.2 ranked KoMets stand with their Section 1AA runner-up trophy following an epic championship battle with No.1 Simley in the Section 1AA wrestling meet last weekend. Stork breaks record

Byron girls basketball player Kayla Stork broke the Byron all-time school record for assists last week. She holds the record for both girls and boys basketball. Her dad Mike Stork previously held the record.

Wildcats look  to defend state title

The Dodge County girls hockey team is hoping to defend its Class A state title, after defeating Albert Lea 3-2 to win the Section 1A championship.
“It’s a big honor to return as well be section champions and to be back and then it is great these seniors will get a chance to defend their title and play Proctor again,” head coach Jeremy Gunderson wrote in an email Monday, when asked what it means to be defending section champions.

Wildcats earn top seed in section tourney

The Dodge County girls hockey team hopes to repeat as Class 1A State Champions.
And their quest back to the Grand Casino Arena starts on Saturday.
The Wildcats, a top seed in the Section 1A tournament, earned a bye, meaning the Wildcats need only two wins to earn a spot in the tournament.

Byron defeats PI

The Byron boys basketball team defeated Pine Island 72-65 last week.
Top scorer Hayden Landswerk notched 17 points, and Fisher Kruckeberg had 15 points.
Isaac Sorenson scored nine points, and Jordan Heimer had two points. Brody Oelkers and Eli Rodemeyer had 11 points each, and Tyler Boyken added three points in the win.
