KoMets defeats Byron 4-3

Grady Babcock pitched five innings in the KoMets 4-3 win over Byron last week.

The Kasson-Mantorville baseball team defeated Byron 4-3 last week.
The KoMets got on the board first scoring two runs in the top of the first.
Neither team scored in the second, and the KoMets added to its lead with a run in the top half of the third inning.
In the top of the fourth, the KoMets scored again to take a 4-0 lead.
Byron began to rally in the bottom half of the inning scoring two runs, and then another in the bottom of the fifth.
The KoMets were able to hang on however, winning 4-3.
Grady Babcock pitched five innings for the KoMets giving up three earned runs, giving up five hits, three walks, while striking out six.
Jace Craft came in for relief, giving up no runs, a hit and a walk.
For Byron Oliver Nicholas pitched four innings, giving four hits, four earned runs, six walks, while striking out six.
Noah Theobald gave up no runs in relief, walking two and striking out one.
