K-M’s Kyllo resigns, search for Middle School Principal begins

During the April Kasson-Mantorville School Board meeting, the board accepted the resignation of K-M Middle School principal Erin Kyllo. Kyllo accepted a middle school position in Colorado and her last day will be at the end of June.
With the resignation comes an opening for a middle school principal in September, and during the special school board meeting on Monday, the process of hiring a new principal was laid out.
The first round of interviews will take place on Monday, May 20 and on Wednesday, May 22. During this round, the top six candidates will be interviewed and evaluated.
On Tuesday, May 28, the top two candidates will be interviewed.
Superintendent Mark Matuska said that historically the interviews have been closed door and not open to the public.
