First Law Enforcement Appreciation event raises $30K

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Chaplains hosted their 1st Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Event Saturday afternoon at The Studio on Main Street in Kasson.
The event featured a silent auction; three live bands drew more than 100 attendees who came to support Dodge County’s law enforcement personnel.
The Chaplains organization, a 501(c)(3) founded in 2018, provides counseling, assistance and spiritual support to victims of county incidents and offers emotional and spiritual care for first responders. Proceeds from this inaugural event, approximately $30,000 raised through sponsorship, will be used in part to upgrade drone technology to improve search-and-rescue response capabilities.
During this event, Sheriff Scott Rose announced he will seek a fourth term this fall.

The Becky Schlegel Band provided music for the first Law Enforcement Appreciation fundraiser held Saturday in Kasson. Hosted by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Chaplains, the event raised $30,000 to support DCSO’s equipment and training needs.

About 100 people attended the first Law Enforcement Appreciation fundraiser for the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, hosted Saturday by the department’s Chaplains at The Studio in Kasson. The event raised $30,000, and funds this year will go toward the DCSO drone program.
