K-M Board to sport youth

Afew years ago, Kasson native Zachay Peterson graduated from K-M High School.
Now after winning an election bid for the K-M School Board last week, he will help lead the school district as a newly elected member of the board.
While Peterson was ultimately able to pull out a third place victory, with three open seats, watching the elections results was nerve racking.

K-M’s technology wing helps ‘Beauty and the Beast’ come to life

With the Kasson-Mantorville theater department currently in its run of “Beauty and The Beast” for the fall musical, it’s a great opportunity to give students a chance to express their passions. While most of the play centers around the young actors and actresses that bring the play to life, Beauty and The Beast is unique in that it requires many complex props.

A new kind of office

If you’re a student that is about to go the office, the chances are high that you did something wrong. In a traditional school, that march to the area that houses the principal and his secretaries can be a long one and if you have a problem or a need to talk something out, it can be an intimidating setting to air things out.

K-M shines with Beauty and the Beast

The Kasson-Mantorville Schools Drama presents its All-School Musical production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Nov. 1–4 and Nov. 9–11 in the Minnesota WiFi Performing Arts Center at K-M High School.
This classic fairy tale is the story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress.

For the author of this article, the choices revolved around building a bench in a wood shop, trying to use a small laser engraver and taking a flight simulator that resembled something out of an Atari video game.

KMMS lends a helping hand

At the beginning of the school year, Kasson-Mantorville Middle School wanted to place an emphasis on lending a helping hand in the community. They also wanted to get more people seeing what was going on at the school and all of the good things that are happening within that building.
