Drama program brings Bugsy Malone, Jr. to life at K-M

The Kasson-Mantorville Middle School Drama Program presents its delightful winter musical production, Bugsy Malone, Jr. Feb. 22–24, in the Minnesota WiFi Performing Arts Center at Kasson-Mantorville High School.
Adapted from the famous 1970s musical movie with music and lyrics by Paul Williams and book by Alan Parker, the film comes to life in a tongue-in-cheek tribute to the Roaring Twenties. Two gangs in a fictitious city populated only by children are in a rivalry of Capone-ian standards. Dandy Dan's gang has gotten the upper hand since acquiring the "splurge" gun (a weapon that shoots whip cream). Bugsy Malone, a one-time boxer, is thrust into the limelight when he becomes the last chance Fat Sam's gang has of surviving. All Bugsy really wants to do is spend time with his new love, Blousey, but that just isn't in the cards for our hero.Directed by Michele Nyman, with musical direction by Kira Degerness and assistant directed by Liz Hardwood, the show features the singing, dancing and acting talent of Erin Allen, Lucy Anderson, Jillian Archer, Noelle Archer, Nikko Avikainen, Molly Bartz, Scott Bartz, Collin Beliveau, Kaiden Beliveau, Makenzie Carrier, Peter Christenson, Allie Eggler, Sophia Ferris, Arabella Fields, Addie Fosland, Madeline Gall, Grace Gappa, Ben Gasser, Cora Gillard, Taylor Godbout, Kylie Harwood, McKenzie Holz, Ian Kujath, Rayna Lambright, Ellie Macrafic, Moriah Mastin, Sebastian Mielke, Emily Olson, Hannah Olson, David Oolman, Caelynn Petersilie, Brooklyn Reding, Victoria Reese, Dylann Sanden, Kcin Siegele, Wyatt Sullivan, Scarlet Thompson, Sam Trow, Adam Vogel, Paige Vogel, Ethan Weatherly, Macy Wilhelm, Greta Wright, and Marin Wright.Don't miss your chance to see this truly delightful community performance!
