Triton has strong finishes at Tiger Invite
The Triton Track and Field competed at the Tiger Invite in Medford last week bringing home a number of top six finishes.
In the 100 meter dash junior Garet Jensen finished third with a time of 11.51 and junior Mason Noaeill finished sixth with a time of 11.96.
Jensen finished second in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.86, Miguel Martinez finished fifth with a time of 25.19, and Christian Valdez Miranda Jr finished sixth with a time of 25.68.
For the 400 meter dash Pierce Petersohn won with a time of 51.28, and Martinez finished fifth with a time of 56.87.
In the 110 meter hurdles Varzaes Jackson ran 21.28 for a fifth place finish. Jackson also finished fifth in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 53.04.
Triton won the 4x100 with a time of 47.04, came in second in the 4x200 with a time of 1:44.07, won the 4x400 with a time of 4:05.39, and came in second for the 4x800 with a time of 9:44.36.
Craig Knutson came in second for shot put with a toss of 45.9 feet, and Brady Staub finished fourth with a throw of 45 feet.
Knutson threw 142 feet to win the discus, and Staub threw 129.8 which was good enough for fourth.
Petersohn jumped 6 feet to win the high jump, with Aaron Knutson jumping 5 feet which was good enough for fifth place.
Freshman Nerak Korbisch cleared 8 feet in the pole vault which was good enough for sixth place, and Mason Noaeill jumped 17. 11.5 feet in the long jump to finish fifth.
For the girls team Averee Henslin won the 200 meter dash with a time of 27.65, and
Aidree Van Beek finished fifth with a time of 30.24.
In the 400 meter Henslin finished second with a time of 1:05.48, and Autumn Froyum finished third with a time of 1:08.91.
Froyum finished fourth in the 3200 meter race with a time of 13:32.92.
In the 100 meter hurdles Olivia Weber finished second with a time of 17.24, and Brylee Reniker finished fifth with a time of 19.37.
Weber also won the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 49.89.
Triton came in fifth for the 4x100 with a time of 58.93, second in the 4x200 with a time of 1:57.04, third in the 4x400 with a time of 4:53.96.
Van Beek finished fifth in the high jump after clearing 4.4 feet.
