Razorbacks, Huskies and Panthers melee in Hayfield

Westfield wrestling hosted an invitational last weekend for a dual meet that brought serious fireworks.

The Razorbacks finished the day 1-2 overall, but included a big 61-5 win over the Panthers in a Gopher Conference tilt.

Westfield was awarded four forfeits by NRHEG at 121, 133, 145 and 152 pounds but also won seven of the eight remaining matches excluding a double forfeit at 215 pounds.

The Razorbacks’ largest lead came at 54-0 with Bentley Miller, Derek Miner, Isaac Fort, Bo Zwiener and David Clennon all scoring falls.

Zwiener and Miner were the quickest to accomplish the feat with the former’s coming in 28 seconds and the latter’s in 1:51.

Westfield’s Alex Lea (4-0 decision) and Wyatt Arndt (8-0 major decision) finished the day with two wins at 189 and 285 to round out the scoring at 61-5.
