KMT gymnastics breaks school record
The Kasson-Mantorville/ Triton gymnastics team won its recent meet against Stewartville 129.325 to 110.05.
Eleanor Smith swept every event and all-around. She scored a personal best on beam with a 9.6 and a personal best in the all-around with a 35.825. Both scores also broke the KMT school record.
Jovie Arnold took third on vault with a new personal best of 8.425. She also took second place on floor with a 8.65.
“As we progress through the season, the gymnasts continue to work on new skills and upgrades while also cleaning up their form,” Head Coach Holly Olmscheid said following the meet. “We have two major varsity players out this week with injuries, but we hope to have them back for our next meet on Friday January 3rd.“
She added:
“All the girls did a fantastic job, and I am always amazed at their drive to continue to push themselves and get better at each practice and competition.”
