K-M wrestling wins Osage Duals
One thing has been a constant for the Kasson-Mantorville wrestling team — winning the Osage Duals last weekend.
For the 11 time since 2007, K-M came out on top, winning every matchup, in Iowa.
In its matchup against Humboldt K-M won 54-21, in its matchup against Decorah K-M won 46-17, K-M defeated Davenport Assumption 49-18, K-M defeated Clear Lake 65-10, Independence 48-19, and defeated Osage 54-22.
The girls team competed at Pine Island, with Eliana O’Donoghue finishing 2-2 in the 100 pounds weight class, Maddie Schwirtz went 1-2 in the 106 pounds weight class, Alivja Henamen went 1-2 in the 112 pounds weight class, Kaydee Fitch went 1-2 in the 118 pounds weight class, Kamryn Berge went 2-2 in the 118 pounds weight class, Jorja Fjerstad went 0-2 in the 124 pounds weight class, and Aubrey Devens went 3-1 in the 130 pounds weight class finishing in third place.
Kasson-Mantorville wrestlers Aiden Friedrich, Owen Friedrich, and Owen Nelson were honored at last week’s dual meet for earning 100 career wins.
