Byron softball defeats Zumbrota-Mazeppa

After trailing early the Byron softball team defeated Zumbrota-Mazeppa 13-6 last week.

Z-M took a 3-0 lead after scoring three in the bottom of the first inning.

After holding Byron scoreless for the first three innings Byron would go on to score seven in the top of the fourth to take a 7-3 lead.

Byron scored six more in the top of the seventh, with Z-M making things interesting, scoring three runs in the bottom of the seventh.

For Byron, Macy Behringer and Kaydence Fjerstad each had three hits in the game with Behringer adding two RBIs and Fjerstad had one.

Tallie Behrens  pitched a complete game giving up five hits, four earned runs, three walks, while striking out 10.
