Boys hockey defeated 7-2 in Rochester Kiwanis Hockey Festival
The Dodge County Wildcats boys hockey team went 2-1 at the Rochester Kiwanis Hockey Festival falling to Rochester Century/JM 7-2 in the championship game.
In its matchup against La Crescent-Hokah the Wildcats won 10-0, scoring seven goals in the third period.
For the Wildcats Gabe Coshenet had four goals, with Cohen McNeilus, Cooper Bebee, Camryn Koch, Dylan Klomps, Brett Ludvigsen, and Aidan Connelly each scoring a goal in the win.
Goaltender Mason VanBenschoten stopped 14 out of the 14 shots on the net, in the win.
In its second round matchup the Wildcats defeated Rochester Mayo 6-5 in overtime.
Coshenet had two goals in the win, Braylon Fredrickson had a goal, and Ludvigsen had three goals, and three assists, in the win. Ludvigsen recorded his 100th career assist in the win.
In the championship game Dylan Klomps and Evan Hain had goals.
