The following case was heard in Dodge County District Court the week of April 30 with Judge Kevin Siefken presiding:
Jacob L. Schutz, 26, West Concord, previously appeared and was convicted of felony possession of burglary or theft tools. He was sentenced to $1,155, no possession of firearms, no alcohol or controlled substance use, do not enter liquor establishments, cognitive skill training, chemical dependency evaluation, mental health evaluation, 100 hours of community service and 3 years of supervised probation.

Blotter Spotlight: Burglary: Deputies began a burglary investigation in the 500 block of U.S. Hwy. 14 in Claremont at 5:55 p.m. on April 27.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office handled 198 complaints during the week of April 26 — May 2:
April 26
Animal: Animal bites occurred in the 500 block of 3rd St. SE in Dodge Center at 6:36 a.m. and at Stagecoach Road and Jefferson St. in Mantorville at 5:31 p.m.
Juvenile: Deputies received a juvenile complaint from the 200 block of Main St. E. in Hayfield at 5:56 p.m.
April 27
Disturbance: At 7:43 a.m., a male party was refusing to leave a residence on 6th Ave. SE in Dodge Center.
Vape: At 1 p.m., a student had a vape at Hayfield Schools.
Suspicion: At 5:37 p.m., a suspicious person was on the railroad tracks at County Hwy. 34 and County Road 15 in Kasson.
April 28
Harassment: At 7:25 a.m., a harassment incident occurred on 6th St. E. in Mantorville.
Stolen Property: At 11:56 a.m., a stolen car was recovered in the 54300 block of 250th Ave. in West Concord.
April 29
Theft: At 11:37 a.m., a truck was stolen from the 11600 block of State Hwy. 30 in Blooming Prairie.
Disturbance: Deputies responded to a disturbance in the 800 block of Center Ave. S. in Hayfield at 10:19 p.m.

Disturbance: Disturbances occurred in the 67200 block of 200th Ave. in Dodge Center at 12:42 a.m. and the 17100 block of 700th St. in Hayfield at 12:51 a.m.
May 2
Disturbance: Deputies responded to a disturbance at County Road 12 and County Road 21 in Mantorville at 9:53 a.m.
Domestic: Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of Front St. W. in Claremont at 10:16 p.m.

Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance in the 100 block of 8th Ave. SW at 3:45 p.m. They mediated it at the scene.
Juvenile: Police received a juvenile complaint from the 600 block of 2nd Ave. SW at 6:12 p.m.

Welfare: Officer conducted a welfare check in the 200 block of 8th St. SE at 2:06 p.m.
Disorderly: Officers responded to disorderly conduct in the 2000 block of Mantorville Ave. N. at 2:35 p.m.
Vandalism: At 4:20 p.m., a playground was damaged in the 600 block of Veterans Memorial Highway W.
Animal: At 7:02 p.m., an animal bite occurred in the 300 block of 8th Ave. NW.
April 28
Welfare: Officer conducted a welfare check in the 400 block of 2nd Ave. NE at 5:27 a.m.
Crash: At 3:41 p.m., a motor vehicle accident occurred at State Hwy. 57 and U.S. Hwy. 14.
April 29
Child Protection: Police received a child protection report from the 1500 block of 15th Circle NE at 9:30 a.m.
Suspicion: Officers responded to suspicious activity in the 600 block of Mantorville Ave. N. at 10:15 a.m. and the 600 block of Mantorville Ave. N. at 4:36 p.m.
Animal: At 4:06 p.m., a dog bite occurred in the 700 block of 3rd St. NW.
ATV: Police received an ATV complaint from 2nd St. NW at 4:36 p.m.
April 30
Disturbance: Police responded to a disturbance in the 1400 block of Mantorville Ave. N. at 4:46 a.m.
Suspicion: Police responded to suspicious activity in the 200 block of 2nd Ave. SW at 6:08 p.m.
Domestic: At 9:03 p.m., a domestic disturbance occurred in the 300 block of 6th St. SW.
May 1
Probation: Police conducted probation checks in the 500 block of Veterans Memorial Highway W. at 9:22 p.m. and the 200 block of Mantorville Ave. N. at 9:30 p.m.
Theft: At 11:56 p.m., a motor vehicle was reported stolen from the 500 block of 10th Ave. NE.
May 2
Larceny: Officer took a larceny report at Dollar General at 10:02 a.m.
Threats: Police responded to a subject making threats at ZED School at 10:04 a.m.
Suspicion: Officers responded to suspicious activity in the 1000 block of 10th St. NW at 12:59 p.m. and the 200 block of 2nd Ave. SW at 9:10 p.m.
Welfare: Officer conducted a welfare check in the 1500 block of 15th St. Circle NE at 2:05 p.m.
Vape: At 2:09 p.m., a student had a vape at K-M High School.
