Anker Edward Miller, 92, Rochester

Anker Edward Miller, 92, formerly of Rochester, MN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at his home in Kasson.
Anker was born in Rochester to Anker M. and Ragnhild (Lovgren) Miller on October 3, 1932. He married Lavonne Uetzmann on January 8, 1955. They were blessed with three children. He had various jobs including farming for 32 years. In his later years, he enjoyed delivering trucks around the country for McNeilus. He traveled through 47 of the 48 contiguous states.
Anker enjoyed several trips to Denmark to visit his relatives. He also enjoyed the many winters they spent in Florida. In his younger days he also enjoyed fishing. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Anker is survived by his wife, Lavonne Miller; son, Gregg (Cecilia) Miller of Kasson; daughter-in-law, Lori Miller of Byron; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cheryl (1999); son, Michael (2019); and brother, Rodney (2020).
A visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2024, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes, 801 7th St SE in Kasson and one hour prior to his service at the church. A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 21, 2024, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 301 8th Ave NW in Kasson, with Pastor John Weisenburger officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester.
