Byron ISD breaks ground for construction projects

Byron administrators, educators, and families gathered in front of Byron High School last week to officially celebrate the beginning of construction on several projects approved by voters in a referendum last spring.
Supt. Dr. Mike Neubeck welcomed those attending the event telling them that the projects will not only benefit the students but also the entire Byron community.
Among the projects scheduled are additional classrooms at the high school, a new auditorium, remodeling of the current administration and community services building (DACS) to allow for more preschool and community activities, moving the administrative offices to a building purchased earlier this year, and new athletic facilities at the high school.
Neubeck said most of the project will be completed by the 2023-2024 school year with the auditorium and the baseball fields completed in 2024.
