Response to letter on abortion
To the Editor:
My letter is in response to Karl Huppler's October 13 letter who had the usual attacks against the Republican party.
He believes this party is trying to "eliminate freedom of a woman to control her own body and her own life." Abortion, unfortunately is legal in Minnesota despite the recent Supreme Court ruling! It sounds good, but how is killing your baby health care? What happened to the "Do No Harm" in the medical field?"
Knifing babies in utero and sucking their body parts out of the womb or using medication to kill them is their idea of women controlling their body? The right to life for babies was taken away 50 years ago, and now 63 million potential USA citizens have been killed throughout this time period which is more people who died during WWII worldwide! Abortion is a very profitable industry, so why should our taxes help fund them when we oppose abortion.
Be thankful that your parents, decided to keep you for those of you who believe in abortion!
The gun crisis in our country is terrible but don't blame everything on one party. It's evil men, women and teenagers who want to harm and kill people, but unfortunately they will always find a way to do it no matter how many gun laws we have on the books.
It seems like many of the political ads only focus on the abortion issue, but there are many other issues such as high inflation, crime, high gas and food prices, supply chain problems, and a border crisis that needs to be addressed by our government.
