Patrick Madery asks for voters support

To the Editor:

My name is Patrick Madery and I am running for the Kasson-Mantorville School Board. I am a proud Kasson-Mantorville graduate of the class of 2004. Since then, I have lived in various places throughout the state of Minnesota, returning in 2018 to raise my family in this great community.

I have a wonderful wife, two children, and another on the way. My oldest child is entering kindergarten and I feel encouraged to get involved and serve the community where I grew up.

Kasson-Mantorville is a great place to raise a family and that is in large part due to the Kasson-Mantorville School District. Previous leadership has laid a solid foundation in their “Commitment to Excellence” for educating our students, providing facilities that will attract young families and recruiting the best staff.

I would be honored to dedicate the next four years to building on this foundation.

Our children’s education is of the utmost importance. The last few years have been tough on every student, and I want to dig-in and make sure every child is given the resources and opportunity to succeed. I am ready to do my part in working with the board and school leaders to not only improve our testing scores but to ensure K-M has a positive learning environment.

My career has taught me that relationships are key to success.  I understand that our K-M staff members play the most significant role in fostering relationships with our students, creating the healthiest learning environment.  I will work to support our students, staff, and leadership to perform at their highest level.  When our staff is at its best, our students will be at their best.

I desire to be a voice for our community. Fiscal responsibility is crucial to our continued success in this community. I want to maintain the long tradition that the Kasson-Mantorville School District has had in making fiscally sound decisions while supporting strong academics and noteworthy extra-curriculars.

As a member of the school board, my philosophy for making sound decisions will be based on using facts and teamwork. I pride myself in being an active listener with the ability to respectively collaborate with individuals. Asking good questions, doing the necessary research, and formulating the best decisions is what you can expect from me.

I am very grateful and excited for the opportunity to run for the school board. I hope to bring a fresh perspective, an open mind, and a results-driven focus to the Kasson-Mantorville School Board. I would be very appreciative for your vote and support in this pursuit.

Go KoMets!

Patrick Madery
