Keep Angie Richards on K-M school board

To the Editor:

As a longtime member of the Kasson Mantorville community I would like to acknowledge the success and status of our school district.  With the upcoming election, I urge all to understand the school board vacancies.

There is one position that will be a shortened two year term, the other vacancies are four year terms. For the two year position, four individuals are running and only one candidate, Angie Richards, has school board experience.

Good board members develop skills over time through extensive training and experience. It takes more than a year to become proficient for new board members, it would be difficult for an inexperienced candidate to become an effective and productive board member in the two year position. Angie is effective and productive today, proving herself to our community for the last eight years.

Angie will continue to be key in our K-M school's growth and success, without missing a beat. Angie is recognized as a fiscally responsible leader, in touch with administration, teachers, and students. Angie has excelled as a board member and served on all school board committees and positions. She possesses the knowledge and experience to be effective in this two year position.

Angie was a key catalyst initiating and driving K-M school district culture known as a commitment to excellence in education. Take a look at our campus, everything is bright and engaging, committed to excellence. A well run district makes our community appealing and keeps it vibrant.

K-M needs this two year board position to be effective and productive. Please keep Angie, with her leadership and creativity, continuing to work for all of us!
