Become an informed voter

Election Day is fast approaching. Voting is a right, but it is also a responsibility. Good government requires citizens who know the issues and have thoughtfully made decisions on who to vote for.

To help voters make those decisions the Dodge County Independent is publishing a Voters’ Guide in this issue. Residents have also been eager to share their opinions on who to vote for through Letters to the Editor.

As all candidates did not respond to the questionnaires there is not information about everyone. But the Voters Guide and the Letters to the Editor are a couple of ways to be informed and make a decision.

For those who would like more information on the candidates running for Kasson-Mantorville School Board, the Kasson Chamber of Commerce has scheduled a School Board Candidate Forum for 7 p.m. on November 1 at the Kasson-Mantorville High School.

The forum will be moderated by Chamber President Tom Monson.

Anyone who would like to submit questions for the Panel Q&A portion of the event, should submit them to tomonson@gmail.com on or before 3 p.m. on October 31.
