Sons of Norway Lodge meets Nov. 21 in Owatonna

The Nortonna Lodge 1-638 of the Sons of Norway will meet Monday, Nov. 21, at the Owatonna VFW, 135 Oakdale Street. Dinner will be served at p.m. for a cost of $10, and the meeting will follow at 7 p.m.

The entertainment will be Dave Swenson presenting “Norsetalgia,” a program of Scandinavian fiddle music, featuring many styles of songs written by Norwegian and Norwegian-Americans immigrants. Short explanations of the history of the songs and styles and instruments played by Scandinavian fiddlers will be included.

A silent auction will also be part of the evening.

This is the annual membership dinner — members should invite interested friends and acquaintances. Prospective members interested in attending should contact Membership Secretary Janet Erickson at 390-1239.
