Marigold Days Quilt Show winners announced

Thirty-five quilts were on display at the Opera House during Marigold Days.

“We displayed 35 quilts, a great selection including antique quilts from 1893 and 1920 as well as a military quilt,” said JoAnn Roth, one of the organizers of the Quilt Show.

“We appreciate the willingness of quilters of all ages to share their pieces of art which are enjoyed by so many.”

The winners this year in the large category are Phyllis Purvis who displayed a beautiful quilt using the Compass Pattern winning first place with second place going to Alpha Jensen who displayed a Winter Comforter made up of 2.5 inch squares.

The winners in the small category are Bev Meyer who displayed a Red Flower panel which she pieced and in second place, Janet Dornfeld who displayed a wool applique wall hanging, Signs of Spring.

“The beautiful work brought in by all is greatly appreciated and we welcome you to display again at Marigold Days 2022,” Roth said.
