Kasson’s Festival in the Park runs from Aug. 12-14

Festival in the Park for 2022 has arrived. Now in its 35th year, Festival in the Park will continue all weekend at Veteran’s Memorial Park.

The Medallion Hunt got under way on Monday. The medallion is hidden within the city limits of Kasson and new clues will be given until the medallion is found.

The main activities begin on Friday with a Big Cup Golf Tournament at Zumbro Valley Golf Course. Registration for the golf tournament is at 9 a.m. with tee time at 10 a.m.

Food vendors will be opening at Veteran’s Memorial Park at 5 p.m. on Friday.
A kickball tournament begins at 5:30 p.m. and Kaptain Kerby will be at the park from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Also, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Kasson Fire and Rescue vehicles will be on display. The eating contest begins at 6:30 p.m. and Dazzling Dave, YoYo Master entertains at 7:30 p.m. Friday ends with a Movie in the Park, “A Dog’s Purpose,” at 9 p.m.

Saturday activities begin at 7:30 a.m. with Goat Yoga by KM Regional Veterinary Hospital. A craft show, food vendors and kids activities are scheduled all day.

At 9 a.m. there will be a Treasure Hunt and registration for the Car and Motorcycle Show will start at 9 and continue until 10 a.m. The show will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Registration for the Sidewalk Chalk Art begins at 9 a.m. and registration for the Corn Hole Tournament begins at 9:30 a.m.

Kids inflatables will be available from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and there will be Face Painting from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Helicopter Ball Drop takes place at 10 a.m., the Corn Hole Tournament begins at 10:30 a.m. and the Pedal Pull is at 11 a.m. There is an obstacle course challenge at 12 noon.

Stop by the West Pavilion from 1 to 4 p.m. for Bingo. Sidewalk Chalk judging begins at 2 p.m. with the awards announced at 3:30 in the Gazebo.

A Festival in the Park favorite, the Belly Flop Contest, is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the Aquatic Center. The Kasson Ambassador and Junior Ambassador ceremonies begin at 6:30 p.m.

The Whitesidewalls take to the stage at 7:15 p.m. for a free performance. Fireworks are scheduled for 9:30 p.m. with August 20 as the rain date.

The evening concludes with entertainment at the Firehall featuring Time Machine. This event is for those 21 and over.

The craft show and food vendors will continue on Sunday. A church service sponsored by South Zumbro Lutheran Church begins at 9 a.m. The Grand Parade will travel on the north side of Kasson beginning at 1:30 p.m.

The weekend ends with family entertainment at the Firehall with Trouble Shooter
at 3 p.m.
