Kasson finds Kasson

This past weekend six-year-old Kasson Belsaas, along with his parents, Drew and Jamie, plus two-year-old sister Emery, spent three days seeing the sights of the community. Jamie explained they had four names picked out at the hospital when their son was born and one of them was Cassen but they decided to change the spelling to Kasson.

He is in the first grade and enjoys playing video games and T-ball when they can get back ino this activity again. When the family heard about Kasson, his mother said, they planned to visit earlier this spring until the virus changed things. The Belsaas' live in Zimmerman, north of Elk Riverr and about 45 miles northwest of St. Paul. Drew works in the construction industry and Jamie in the court system in St. Cloud.

Kasson walked around the track at the football field, visited the State Theater for popcorn, the fire department brought out some fire trucks, met the local police and Mayor Chris McKern, plus some other businesses. They said they were ver impressed with the community and really feld welcomed. Jamie said they will be back in the future when Kasson is older.
