Benefit for Triton graduate set for Feb.9

On Oct. 11 the lives for friends, and family of Greg Greseth  changed forever.

After dropping off his oldest child, Carson, at the bus stop for school, he passed out way in a fatal car crash.

Leaving behind his fiance, Aimee (Larson), a 2014 graduate of Triton, and three children, Carson (5 years), Carter (2 years), and Cooper (just 3 months), the deviation is more heartache than anyone should have to go through.

Thats why friends and family of Gregg and Aimee will be hosting a fundraiser in honor of him.

“We decided to do something for Aimee in honor of Gregg to show our support and how much we loved Gregg,” Angie Larson, the mother of Aimee said.

The benefit is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 9 from 3-6 p.m. at the VFW in Zumbrota. During the benefit their will be a pulled pork plate fundraiser, for $5 as well as a silent auction. Larson said depending on how many auction items they get they may also have a live auction.

Aside from the benefit at the VFW, Gregg’s bosses at the Guilty Goose also will be helping out by having a free will donation concert by Big Balls, which is one of Aimee and Gregg’s favorite bands.

Larson described Gregg by calling him a family man whose life  revolved around his wife and children.

“He was a true family man,” Larson said.

She also described the couple as being perfect for eachother.

“They were an amazing couple they were perfect for each other,” Larson said.

The goal of the benefit, Larson said is to show their support for Aimee and her family.

“It’s about showing her that so many people care about her and Gregg.”
